Kieran Ka Ming Tam
is a graduate student and researcher of Architecture and Urban Design at the University of Cambridge, where he is a committee member of Cambridge Decolonise Architecture and the Cambridge Migration Society. He holds a BA in Architecture also from the University of Cambridge as well as two years of practice experience as a Part 1 Architectural Assistant for Langstaff Day Architects in London.
He is currently working on a project titled: A Calais Reincarnate, researching urban spaces of forced displacement, hospitality and refuge in European cities, with a particular focus on Calais in Northern France and has previously conducted research on the Kowloon Walled City, a now-demolished informal settlement in Hong Kong and has a keen interest in public and civic architecture and housing.
