About Kieran
Kieran is a graduate student and researcher of Architecture and Urban Design at the University of Cambridge, where he is a member of the Cambridge Design Research Studio and a coordinator at Cambridge Decolonise Architecture. He holds a BA in Architecture also from the University of Cambridge, as well as two years of practice experience as a Part 1 Architectural Assistant for Langstaff Day Architects in London.
He is currently researching urban spaces of forced displacement, hospitality and refuge in European cities, with a particular focus on Calais in Northern France and has previously conducted research on the Kowloon Walled City, a now-demolished informal settlement in Hong Kong. He has has a keen interest in public/civic architecture and affordable/social housing.
